How do we do it

The Henry Davis Foundation believes that the foster care is a delicate process that it must comprise planning, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of care for the integral development of children and adolescents. Therefore, we believe and we were guided by the following principles:

  • Know and practice the best human values.
  • Prioritize and protect the interests of children and adolescents.
  • Develop the knowledge and skills of all staff of the Foundation.
  • Comply with the laws and regulations of foster care and protection.
  • Participation and commitment of the staff of the foundation for the fulfillment of the objectives.
  • Contribute to improving the system of institutional care of Ecuador.
  • Maintain and continuously improve all process of the Foundation: admission, foster care, moral and ethical training, counseling and education.
  • Watch over, prevent and resolve psychological, relational and family problems presented by the children.
  • Promote micro enterprise training, to facilitate the social integration of adolescents.
